BOOK TALK & SIGNING: Camp Harmony: Japanese American Internment and the Puyallup Assembly Center
By author Louis Fiset with introduction by Roger Daniels. Fiset is also the author of Imprisoned Apart: The World War II Correspondence of an Issei Couple and co-editor of Nikkei in the Pacific Northwest.
Camp Harmony: Japanese American Internment and Puyallup Assembly Center explores the daily lives of the more than seven thousand Japanese American inmates at "Camp Harmony," detailing how they worked, played, ate, and occasionally fought with each other and with their captors.

NEW EXHIBIT OPENING: Cultural Transcendence
Cultural Transcendence is a multimedia exhibition of art works from five Asian Pacific Islander American artists that explore transcendence, both in use of materials and in concept.
5:30 – 6:30pm : All members exclusive preview featuring Shin'm, an interactive dance performance with artist Eunsu Kang and choreographer/performer Diana Garcia-Snyder. Reception with light refreshments. RSVP to Joann Natalia Aquino or 206.623.5124 ext 106.
