Lee Boo Duck specializes in fiber art, paper art design, digital textile design, and other printing techniques. Much of her paper art makes use of Korean traditional paper called hanji, a type of mulberry paper. Come experience her first exhibition in the Pacific Northwest. A selection of her designs on silk ties also will be featured. On display through September 5.

See life through the eyes of a refugee through personal stories, moving photographs and multimedia. Hear first-hand accounts of how refugees survived war, violence and oppression with hopes for a better future for their families. Ponder the trials of starting a life with nothing, in strange places and foreign cities, and having to call this new place a home. On display through December 12.

Cultural Transcendence
five Asian Pacific Islander American artists exhibit works that focus on a step forward from traditional to new media: materials expanding beyond their inherent meanings. Featured artists: Robert Hodgin, Eunsu Kang, Heidi Kumao, Horatio Law, Brent Watanabe. Curated by Lele Barnett. On display through September 19.

Paj Ntaub: Stories of Hmong in Washington
Hmong women began weaving the Paj Ntaub (pronounced 'Pa Dau') flower cloth to stitch a record preserving Hmong history. Through family photos, cultural artifacts and first-person stories, uncover the rich history and culture of Hmong in Washington State. On display through October 17.
