WELCOME

The Wing Luke Museum’s mission statement is, ”We connect everyone to the dynamic history, cultures, and art of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders through vivid storytelling and inspiring experiences to advance racial and social equity.”

Our commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment and space is part and parcel of our mission. We prioritize inclusion, diversity, equity, and access in order to strengthen our organization and our community. We look forward to creating a great experience for you and your group in any way we can. We welcome your feedback as we work toward creating a more equitable and accessible Wing Luke Museum.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Please know that our online tickets never expire! If you are feeling unwell, are diagnosed with COVID-19, or are experiencing flu, cold, or other respiratory infection symptoms, please visit another time.

Masks and hand sanitizer are available to visitors. Social distancing and masking are encouraged.

VENTILATION

Our HVAC system has been adjusted to increase the flow of outside air while maintaining standards for environmental controls. We have installed MERV 11 filters that filter down to 1-micron particulars (much smaller than the water vapor that carries coronavirus particles).

DROP-OFF & LOADING ZONES

The entrance to the museum faces South King Street on the corner of South King Street and 8th Avenue. There are 30-minute loading zones on King Street and 8th Street.

PARKING

The museum does not have on-site parking.

Street parking is free all day Sundays and holidays.

There are several public pay parking lots within 5 blocks. Metered and timed parking policies apply at other times. Please read street signs carefully.

WHEELCHAIRS

There is elevator access to all 3 floors of the museum. Some areas of the 1st floor have ramps.

Elevator access is also available on Historic Hotel Tours. The Historic Spaces have been preserved to share the building’s original structure and as a result, some of the doorways are narrower than the rest of the museum.

The smallest doorway clearance is 26” and guests can borrow a wheelchair (with a 22” clearance) at the front desk at the museum for the tour and your visit.

Our Educators can accommodate wheelchairs larger than 26” clearance, please contact our staff if you will need an alternate route.

Guests can familiarize themselves with what to expect during a visit to Wing Luke Museum by utilizing our social story made in generous partnership with Sensory Access and the Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.

PLEASE NOTE: some exhibits in the social story have changed and Wing Luke Museum is no longer checking for vaccinations.
