School Partnership Program

Last year we launched a year-long partnership option for schools and districts that couples:
  • Professional development training (clock hours);
  • Online curriculum resources;
  • Historical and neighborhood tours for students at the museum; and
  • Parent Engagement Program to connect them with their student’s experience
The partnership is a comprehensive program starting with teachers, followed by classroom-museum curriculum integration, student visits to the museum, follow-up lessons and synthesis and culminates in parent engagement.

We recognize that the full package may seem like a large commitment, and even may be outside of some school budgets, however, each component can be selected independently, or in different configurations to design a partnership that better fits your school’s needs.

This longer-term, deeper relationship between the museum and schools is creating a much more positive experience for teachers and students, with students arriving more prepared to dialogue, analyze history and to explore. Teachers are ex-pressing their appreciation for how our program has made the connection to Common Core that much easier.

In the coming 2016-2017 school year, we would be happy to partner with your school, and the greater community that supports your institution.
