2022 APRIL STORY TIME: MO’OLELO MOMENTS WITH ‘ANAKE KALEI

STORY TIME: MO’OLELO MOMENTS WITH ‘ANAKE KALEI

Thursday, April 7, 2022 | 11 AM PST | Facebook | Free

Join us Thursday morning for a special online Story Time edition Mo'olelo Moments with 'Anakē Kalei as she shares her performance rendition of "Hi'iaka Battles the Wind." In this mo'olelo, Hi'iakaikapoliopele, Hawaiian goddess and patroness of hula, exemplifies mana wahine, the strength of the divine feminine. With her power of lightning hidden within the folds of her pā'ū, she protects her people from the gale force winds seeking to destroy their homes. Many thanks to Kalei Matsui for her wonderful story!

Story Time is presented by the Tateuchi Foundation and Institute for Museum and Library Services.
