GENERAL

  • Free First Thursday hours are May—September, 2025, during our extended hours from 5—8 PM. RSVP Here (optional).

  • Yes, your tour ticket includes both a 90-minute outside walking tour as well as full access to our 12 gallery spaces within the museum and a complimentary 45-min historic hotel tour. You do not need to purchase a seperate general admissions ticket.

  • General Admission includes access to the Bruce Lee exhibit – there is no additional fee to view it.

  • Masks are optional, and sanitizer is available onsite. If you're feeling sick, we recommend visiting another day. General Admission tickets never expire! Proof of vaccination is not required.

VISITOR GUIDELINES

Wing Luke Museum strives to make each visit enjoyable, educational, and inspiring. Please be respectful toward staff, volunteers, and fellow guests to maintain a safe and welcoming space. Harassment or disruptive behavior is not tolerated. Non-flash photography is welcome unless restricted by signage. We also invite you to leave reflections in designated exhibit areas only. Additional restrictions and guidelines:

    • Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking: Responsible alcohol use is allowed at museum events. Intoxication is not permitted and may result in removal. Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside the museum and near entrances, exits, windows, and air intakes.

    • Bags and Luggage: Please avoid bringing large bags or luggage. Carry bags in front of your body to protect exhibits. Lockers and shelving are available for non-valuable items at your own risk.

    • Behavior and Etiquette: Be respectful of others and museum property. No running, disruptive behavior, or touching of art and artifacts unless signage indicates otherwise. Ask staff if unsure.

    • Photography and Video: Non-flash photography is welcome unless posted otherwise. Flash, tripods, and selfie sticks are not allowed. Filming staff or visitors requires prior permission. Guests may be filmed for museum documentation or promotion.

    • Restrooms: Available to patrons only. Each includes an accessible stall and diaper-changing station.

      • Mezzanine: all-gender restroom

      • 1st Floor: women's and men's restrooms

      • 2nd Floor: women's restroom

      • 3rd Floor: men's restroom

    • Weapons: Weapons of any kind (firearms, knives, sharp or blunt objects) are not allowed onsite.

    • Caregivers: Caregivers assisting guests with disabilities receive free general and tour admission. Paraeducators supporting students on field trips receive free tour admission.

    • Drop-off, Parking, and Loading Zones: The entrance is at South King Street and 8th Avenue. Thirty-minute loading zones are available on both streets. Visit wingluke.org/visit for a parking map.

    • Sensory Offerings: Tours and programs can be modified to meet group needs. Request accommodations via tours@wingluke.org or (206) 623-5124 x133; 4 weeks advance notice recommended.

    • Quiet Spaces: Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 AM–12 PM are generally quiet. The Tateuchi Story Theatre is available when not in use for events or tours—please call ahead.

    • Lighting: Some galleries use dimmed lighting and include multiple sound/visual sources. Content warnings are posted where applicable.

    • Seating: Benches and armrest chairs are available throughout the museum.

    • Assistive Listening Devices: Offered during tours. Virtual tours and events also feature captions.

    • Wheelchairs and Access: Elevator access is available to all three floors. The Historic Hotel has some narrow (26") doorways; a 22" wheelchair is available at the front desk. For larger wheelchairs, contact tours@wingluke.org or (206) 623-5124 x133 for alternate routes.

    • Service Animals: Only service animals are allowed and must be leashed or harnessed unless that interferes with task performance. Pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.

    • Attire and Face Coverings: Guests must wear top, bottom, and soled shoes. Offensive attire may result in removal. Medical masks and religious coverings are allowed; full-face masks and costume weapons are not.

    • Balloons: Helium balloons are not allowed in the museum.

    • Children and Babies: Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult. Amenities include stroller storage, nursing spaces, diaper changing stations, and youth-focused galleries on Floor 2.

    • Food and Drink: Must be stored at the front desk or designated areas. Not allowed in exhibitions, collections, or library spaces. Water fountains are near elevators on each floor.

    • Health and Safety: Visitors with symptoms of illness (e.g., COVID-19, flu) should stay home. Masks are encouraged and available at the front desk. Visiting the museum implies acceptance of potential exposure to respiratory illnesses.

    • Art Materials: Pencils (colored or lead) are welcome for writing and sketching. No pens, paints, pastels, or markers allowed.

Please note that these guidelines may not cover all situations. Guests are expected to follow staff instructions at all times. Violations may result in denied or revoked access without refund. Exceptions may be granted with prior approval from museum management.

    • 50% discount on general admission for family and friends. *Member must be present at the time of visit. Not valid for private group tours. Memberships are non-transferable.

    • 15% discount on Tours.

  • Setting Up Your Online Account: Each membership includes one user ID and password (for example, a Family membership with four members will have a single shared login).

    If you're a current member and haven’t registered for your online account, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the ticketing or event page where you'd like to use your member benefits.

    2. On the transaction page, click Register in the top right corner.

    3. Enter your contact information using the details tied to your membership—this helps link your account.

    4. Create a password and complete your registration.

    Already have an account but seeing an error? That message likely means your account is already set up. Try the following:

    1. Click Sign In on the transaction page.

    2. Select Forgot your password? to reset your login.

    Once you're signed in, you’ll be able to:

    • View member-only event pages

    • Add tickets to your cart

    • See discounts automatically applied at checkout

    • Renew your membership online

  • Reciprocal Admission & National Parks Discount: The Wing Luke Museum honors memberships through the North American Reciprocal Museum Association (NARM) and is affiliated with the National Parks Service (NPS).

    • NARM Members: Receive one complimentary General Admission ticket with a valid membership card that includes the NARM sticker. Tickets must be picked up onsite—we can't reserve them in advance, and we can't verify membership without your card.

    • NPS Members: Enjoy a $2 discount on museum admission. A National Parks passport stamp is also available at our Marketplace gift shop.

  • These discounts are available in person only.

  • We welcome donations of artifacts, photographs, and documents connected to Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander histories. Please call ahead, as all items are reviewed before acceptance.
