2023 DECEMBER STORY TIME WITH JANET WONG

STORY TIME WITH JANET WONG

Thursday, December 7
11 AM Facebook and Tateuchi Story Theatre webpage

Story Time is supported by the Tateuchi Foundation and the Institute for Museum and Library Services.

Tricksters Sri Thanonchai and Kitsune (top row), Blue Jackal (center), and Maui and Pilandok (bottom row) are all featured in this original tale written and told by Janet Wong. (Illustrations by “Tricksters” exhibit artist, Sami).

In The Tricksters: Puzzles to Solve, a story by children's author Janet Wong (janet-wong.com), Trickster characters featured in our Wing Luke Museum "Tricksters" exhibit (Sri Thanonchai, Kitsune, Pilandok, Maui, and Blue Jackal) talk about puzzles that challenge the world: (1) How to Calm the Sun, (2) How to Quiet the Wind, (3) How to Tickle the Clouds, and (4) How to Make the People Peaceful Again. Listen and brainstorm with your "Small Ones." The future of the world depends on you!

Don’t delay! The Trickster’s Exhibit in the Uwajimaya KidPlace Gallery ends on December 31, 2023!

And stop by the Marketplace (Tuesday - Monday, 10-5pm) for wonderful books and gifts from local AANH/PI artists, authors and craftspeople!

This Story Time is presented in conjunction with the exhibit Tricksters in the Uwajimaya KidPlace Gallery, at the Wing Luke Museum through December 31, 2023.

Thank you to Janet Wong for helping on the Tricksters exhibit and for writing an original story to share with us today!
