To celebrate our new Tricksters Exhibit in KidPlace (on view from Friday, August 4th-December 31, 2023 in the Uwajimaya KidPlace Gallery), we will be having special Story Times featuring tricksters from many cultures over the next few months.

For our second Tricksters Story Time, join Robert from Eth-Noh-Tec!

Asian folk tales have depicted the rascal, the ornery, and the trickster, who is often fooled by his own trickery! In this month’s Story Time, Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo, co-founder and performer of Eth-Noh-Tec, will share a couple of his favorite Asian trickster tales from the Land of Myanmar: “Monkey Hats” and “The Best Storyteller.”

Thank you, Robert! Eth-Noh-Tec is a San Francisco-based storytelling theater company.

Story Time is presented by the Institute for Library and Museum Services and the Tateuchi Foundation.
