Filipino American History Month is celebrated every October in the U.S. since it was officially recognized by Congress in 2009. The month of October was chosen because the first individuals from the Philippines arrived at what is now Morro Bay, California, aboard a Spanish galleon on October 18, 1587.

This is free event in the Community Hall. If you wish to visit the galleries in the Museum, you will need to purchase Museum admissions.
