ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

We Can Be Heroes: Voting and Beyond
June 14, 2024 through November 10, 2024
Community Portrait Gallery

There is a long history of discrimination, disenfranchisement, and barriers to voting that have affected AANHPI (and other) communities. These barriers have sparked community movements that have demanded change – and won.

Our political system is resistant to change – but it was designed by human beings and can be redesigned by us to serve our needs. If we demystify the political process, we can expand participation and empower people to address the needs of their communities.
