About the Workshops
11:00AM - 1:00PM STAGE COMBAT WORKSHOP (AGES 13-18)
When push comes to shove, how do actors keep each other safe while they fight on stage or film? Explore some of the most common unarmed techniques (shoves, slaps, punches, and drags) and discover how to use them to tell safe and effective stories! No prior martial arts, theater, or stage combat experience needed.
1:15PM - 2:15PM DRAMATIC CONNECTIONS WORKSHOP (AGES 7-13)
Immerse yourself in Bruce Lee’s story as a young man trying to figure it all out – right here in Seattle. The workshop will have kids on their feet, stretching their imaginations, while deepening their knowledge about the characters, setting, and themes of the play. The workshop curriculum is developed and presented by SCT Teaching Artists in the form of a one hour workshop.
