Explore an ever-changing neighborhood. One of Seattle’s oldest historic neighborhoods, the Chinatown-International District offers a chance to understand the relationship between ethnic communities and their environments, including the challenges of early immigrants to build and transform their environments. Tours follow several paths through Chinatown and Japantown and can focus on a number of topics.

The health and safety of our supporters, volunteers, staff, and community-at-large are of the utmost importance. Masks are optional but encouraged. Free masks are available and please ask your guide for one, at the start of the tour, if you would prefer to wear one.

  • Travel distance? This tour covers approximately 1.5 miles of travel on city sidewalks with elevation changes and indoors in a historic building.
